I have painted a new cycle on these walls in the manner I know: true buon fresco, the pigment laid into wet plaster so the image becomes one with the architecture. My figures stand near life-size on a narrow green ledge before panels of deep cinnabar red, divided by black pilasters that give the room its structure.
