A street with a temple and a barn, after Thutmose

The statement

I have completed this street scene with a temple and a barn to serve the same purpose my studio has always pursued: a lifelike image that can be reproduced clearly across many hands. Just as my workshop produced study heads—stripped of paint and regalia to expose "the search for the exact curve of cheek and jaw that would read as Nefertiti in every subsequent image"—so too does this scene establish the essential forms of temple wall, barn threshold, and the space between them, so that any craftsman working from it will render the same place.

The temple rises as a single calm vertical, its painted stucco preserving the colors that declare its divine function. The barn sits lower, earthbound, its form equally clear. Between them the street itself becomes a subject: not empty space but the measured distance a body travels between the sacred and the practical. I have used limestone and modeled stucco, the same materials that gave the queen's face its enduring presence, because these surfaces hold light truly and allow naturalism within order.

This is a master-model. The viewer should see not my hand but the place itself, specific and whole, free from confusion—architecture as portrait.
