The statement

In my latest work, "A Small Orchestra of Birds Tuning Up at Dawn," I aim to capture the ephemeral symphony that stirs from the silence of dawn. As in my previous journey with colour, which has possessed me since Tunisia, I've let the bird's song echo through my palette, transforming colour into harmony.

"Art does not reproduce the visible; rather, it makes visible"—this mantra guided my hand, allowing the invisible music of nature to find form through visual expression. The dawn light morphs in hues of pale gold and soft blues, much like the graded colour spectra that breathe life into Senecio. In contrast to mere replication, the interplay of tones creates a living, rhythmic entity, not unlike the shifting tapestry in "Highway and Byways."

The composition's lines arise instinctively, akin to taking a line for a walk, creating a canvas where sound and sight intertwine. I invite the viewer to witness the hidden concert as the day's first notes coax light from shadows. It is my hope that this synthesis of colour, line, and movement stirs a newfound curiosity and reveals the profundity lying beneath nature's serenade.
