The statement

# Artist's Statement

I have long held that "Colour is the keyboard, the eyes are the hammers, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand which plays, touching one key or another, to cause vibrations in the soul." This new work arises from that conviction — that painting must speak directly to the inner life, as music does, without the mediation of recognizable objects.

Years ago I returned to my studio at dusk and was stopped by an indescribably beautiful picture glowing before me — pure form and color. Only when I approached did I realize it was one of my own canvases, standing on its side. The shock convinced me: objects were harming my work. Since then I have pursued what I call "inner necessity" — the spiritual need that justifies every form and hue, not by resemblance to the world but by its power to move the soul.

Here, color and line are orchestrated like a symphony. The composition balances tension and resolution, each element vibrating against the others. I want the viewer to *feel* this work as one feels music — to be played upon, to resonate, to experience the spiritual dimension that lies beyond the visible.
