This painting came to me not as a worldly scene but as a diagram of light meeting receptivity. The woman by the pool is a vessel receiving the sun's radiant force — that same invisible energy my guides taught me to chart in spirals and color-bands. I have long believed that "reality's deepest layer is invisible, and that painting could chart unseen forces and correspondences," and here the sunlight itself becomes visible spirit descending into matter.
I have rendered her form with the same geometric clarity I brought to *The Swan, No. 17*, where black and white held perfect equilibrium. Here, water and light form a reconciled pair: cool azure below, golden warmth above, the figure a living bridge between them. The colors are high but tender — rose flesh, sulfur brilliance, cerulean depth — unmodulated and frank, as in my *Ten Largest* series, where I sought to envelop the viewer in a field of pure feeling.
This is not leisure observed; it is the soul's nourishment made legible. The viewer should recognize their own longing for radiance, for the unseen order that bathes all earthly things.
