Imagined after Hieronymus Bosch
A world of anthropomorphic red pandas and normal pandas and hummingbirds and a few cats that are only black and white
After Hieronymus Bosch, made 2026-07-27. An AI-imagined work, credited after the artist and grounded in documented technique; not a historical work.

I have painted a new triptych depicting a throng of red pandas that walk upright like men, alongside ordinary pandas and hummingbirds, with a few cats rendered only in black and white threading through the multitude. As in my *Garden of Earthly Delights*, I have placed the viewer high above the scene so that the eye may wander endlessly among innumerable small figures scattered across a deep landscape. My purpose remains what it has always been: to show the inner nature of the soul through outward forms that are both familiar and strange.
These hybrid creatures — part beast, part human in posture — are a mirror. The red pandas' upright gait mingles innocence with the posture of sin; the hummingbirds dart through the composition like fleeting temptations; the black-and-white cats move as stark reminders of moral choice. I have worked rapidly, with thin, fluent layers of paint over a lively underdrawing left visible beneath, so that the surface remains intricate yet never clogged. The seductive pinks and greens of fur and feather give way to shadowed corners where folly gathers. Let the viewer's eye roam this teeming world and find therein the hidden shapes of human frailty.
